This too is a fun little town to visit. Summers are quiet here. Fall is the best time when the air is cool and the apple pies are baking. The town is well known for its apple pies and rustic look. You`ll find crowds here though during the peak fall season. The Julian Café is a town landmark built back in the late 1800`s. It was destroyed by fire once and was later rebuilt. They have really great pies, ciders, and hospitality.

Aftermath of CA fires

We traveled to Julian, a fun little mountain town northeast of san diego. On the way, we passed through the areas that were devasted by fires just a few years ago. Here is a picture (which doesn`t really do it justice) of a tree stand that was completely overcome by the flames. The amazing thing is the regrowth that has occurred since.
