12th and Porter doors padlocked

DSCN2034.JPG
Padlocks and chains block the entrance to 12th & Porter, a favorite live music venue in downtown Nashville. The sign on the door reads, “This property has been seized for non-payment of Tennessee state taxes by virtue of a levy issued by the Department of Revenue, Tax Enforcement Division.” I played there last Saturday night, probably one of the last shows before it was closed. We were filming a music video/DVD for Tiffany Curtiss (http://www.myspace.com/tiffanycurtiss). We were openers for Chris Barron of SPIN DOCTORS. He put on a great show too.

Who knows? Maybe the closing will give it a chance to get some of the residual smoke out of the place. That is my only gripe about playing there.
