I picked the wrong flight. Actually, I didn`t have much choice. But I didn`t realize that this flight stopped in El Paso, San Antonio, AND Houston, all before arriving into Orlando. I`m on the same plane, flight 460, that I started on earlier today. And I`m in Houston now waiting for some late arrivals from another plane. Did I mention that I`m going to Orlando? What am I complaining about?

Got this quote from Dan Miller’s 48Days Newsletter. It’s from James Michener, one of my favorite authors.
The master in the art of living makes little distinction
between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind
and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his
religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his
vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide
whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing
both.

There is a very strong possibility that The Police will tour this year. They are already scheduled to appear as a “surprise” guest at this year’s Grammy Awards. Speculation is that they have begun rehearsing in Vancouver. How great would that be to have these guys back together? Sting is perhaps one of the greatest writers and storytellers in recent history. The other guys in the band provided just the right sounds and textures to make The Police one of the most successful and recognizable bands in rock history.

You should. She’s in every software app that you install. I rarely ever read the EULA, also known as the End User License Agreement. It’s all that mumbo jumbo legal stuff that you either have to accept or reject whenever you install new software.
I looked up EULA on the webopedia site and found the following:
- An EULA is a legal contract between the manufacturer and/or the author and the end user of an application. The EULA details how the software can and cannot be used and any restrictions that the manufacturer imposes (e.g., most EULA’s of proprietary software prohibit the user from sharing the software with anyone else).
- Not every EULA is the same. Some contracts stipulate acceptance of the agreement simply by opening the shrink-wrapped package; some require the user to mail back to the manufacturer a signed agreement or acceptance card; some require the user to accept the agreement after the application is installed by clicking on an acceptance form that appears on the user’s monitor. This last method is typical of applications that can be downloaded from the Internet. In all instances, the user has the option of not accepting the EULA, subsequently surrendering the rights and ability to use the software.
- As in typical legal contracts, the EULA protects both parties from liability if the software is used in a way not intended by the manufacturer or author.
- The EULA also is often referred to as the software license or user license.

So I’m noticing as I type that if I’ve misspelled a word, Firefox 2.0 underlines it in red. If I right-click on it, I have a Word-like option on the menu that shows me possible correct spellings, an option to add the word to the Firefox dictionary, and the option to add more dictionaries for other languages. This is a great feature that came without much fanfare when 2.0 was released. In Tools/Options you can uncheck it which disables the feature if you don’t like it to always catch your mistakes. And it only works in form fields. So what are you waiting for. Update to 2.0.

I got a free subscription to Business Week and, while perusing through it, found a section they call Blogspotting. I’m guessing it’s a weekly section that looks at business related blogs. Anyway, this week is about a web/blog site call 800 CEO READ. The main site is a bookstore devoted to Authors and Readers of business related books. They have a large selection of books and other information geared to this market. You’ll even find an event listings section for book signings and speaking engagement from some of these authors. The corresponding blog is a site dedicated to new books, events, and general info and is updated daily. One of the latest books to list there is Seth Godin’s “The Dip: A Little Book That Teaches You When to Quit (and When to Stick)
“, due out in May 2007, but available for pre-order now from Amazon. Read about it HERE.
Anyway, if you like reading about subjects like business, entrepreneur, success, etc., you might enjoy this site.

When embarking on new projects or phases of life, remember what it takes to reach the goal. It won’t come easy and it won’t be handed to you. Go after it.
“If you want it you must obtain it by great labour.”

Off to Walmart this morning for an oil change. They do a pretty good job, including vacuuming out the whole minivan. All this for about $20. If you get there on a Saturday before 7, you can usually get in first. Don’t tell anyone my secret. Then my eight year old Kate and I will grab a quick bite together and have some good dad/daughter time. Life is good.
